Description

Who’s ready for a fresh, tangy, boozy fresh grapefruit margarita?! This recipe makes 6 drinks.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups ruby red grapefruit juice, fresh if available (about 2-3 large grapefruits)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 5 limes)
  • 1 cup white tequila
  • 1 cup triple sec liquor
  • Ice
  • Lime wedges and kosher salt for garnish, as desired

Instructions

  1. Combine the grapefruit and lime juice. Then add in the tequila and triple sec. Adjust flavor as needed. 
  2. Add ice to a large pitcher and then add the drink mixture
  3. If you are serving in salted glasses, rub a slice of lime around the edge of each glass and then dip the glass rims into the salt.
  4. Divide the ice-cold drink mixture between 6 glasses and garnish with a slice of lime, if desired.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you aren’t serving the drinks with a salted glasses, add a pinch (about 1/4 teaspoon) of salt to the pitcher. 
  • You can make these drinks ahead of time. Just keep the drink mixture (without the ice) cool in the refrigerator until ready to serve. When you are ready, just add the ice.
